Dr. Binod KumarGeneral Secretary

    Dr. Binod Kumar, PhD. is currently working as Senior Project Officer, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad. Previously, he taught as Assistant Professor at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi.

    He did PhD from the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance (CSLG), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. His doctoral work locates disaster prevention and mitigation as a subject matter of law apart from developmental planning. The acquaintance of the existing legal framework can save the life and property of people from disasters, just as the knowledge of risk. In this backdrop, his research navigates the intersection of disaster, law and community resilience in India.
    He did Master of Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and B.A. LL.B. from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. His diverse background enables him to approach a problem from multidisciplinary perspective. His research interest includes disaster, law, sustainability and
    resilience.
    He participated in various national and international conferences and has contributed research papers in journals and edited books.
