DR. Gaurika ChughTreasurer

    Dr. Gaurika Chugh is working as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur. She has formerly worked as a Research Consultant with the School of Science, RMIT University, Australia, and the Center for Land Governance, Bhubaneswar. She holds a Ph.D. doctorate on “Land Records and Land Management: A study in PESA districts of Gujarat and Rajasthan” from the Centre for the study of Law and Governance, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

    She has three years experience of working as a Research Coordinator in the area of ‘Disaster Research’ where she has played an imperative role in organizing and managing International Symposium/Workshops/Seminars with academia, government institutions, and international organizations. She has coordinated, collaborated, initiated MoUs with a large number of national and international institutions and universities. She has also helped in coordinating e-conferences, dialogues, and discussions with authors and research contributors to the five Springer-Nature international volumes on disaster management. These volumes focus on the northeastern India, development, coastal disasters, artificial intelligence, and Sustainable Development Goals and come under the Palgrave Macmillan ‘Disaster Research and Management Series on the Global South’.

    Her research primarily focuses on the areas of Land Management, Emergency Governance, e-Governance, and Sustainable Development. She has published various international and national papers pertaining to her research interests. E-mail: chughgaurika29@gmail.com
